A Hamsa hand necklace handcrafted from copper, sterling silver and a beautiful blue Kingman turquoise cabochon with a caramel brown matrix. The weathered texture copper background adds to the rustic, ancient feel of this ethnic inspired Hamsa. Sterling silver details include the eye shape behind the turquoise, the hand is lined with a thick edge of a lovely, decorative textured silver wire as well as the finger details. The necklace has our makers mark on the back and the necklace has been oxidized to enhance the contrasts of the mixed metals. An ancient symbol from the Middle East predating Abrahamic traditions, the Hamsa or Khamsa, Hand of Fatima or Hand of Miriam, amongst other names, is closely associated with ancient Jewish and Islamic symbology and traditional used as a tool for protection against evil.
