Inspired by Native American squash blossom designs this simplified turquoise and argentium sterling silver necklace captures the essence in a very wearable piece. The small 5mm turquoise is bezel set in fine silver atop a sand textured blossom. A ray pattern around the stone gives a bit of interest to the overall simple design. Oxidized and polished to finish. The sterling silver chain measures 18" and is finished with our handmade findings.
Perfect to wear alone or to layer with other necklaces. The blossom measures apx. 7/8" long.
Many believe the squash blossom designs were in fact pomegranate designs brought to the Americas by the Spanish and subsequently adopted by the Navajo and other tribes of the American Southwest. The history of the design makes for an interesting read.
